Ooh.. English is calling me...
Oh, whatever, let's get this started before the silliness taking me to another world of babble.
Now I'm babbling
I just watched this incredible movie ^^ wonderful and very touching. It made me cry until the end of the story. Yes, yes, I'm a crybaby. Don't say anything about it.
The Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below
星を追う子ども Hoshi o Ou Kodomo
The real title is Children who Chase Stars. I don't understand why they changed it. It was too long to remember. XP. It was released May 7, 2011. Two days after Children's Day in Japan ^^.
Ok, first, The genre is adventure, action and a little bit of romance and friendship. The sad thing in this movie was the romance died and friendship bloomed. Buy and watch it if you wanna know =P
The story taught people how to say farewell and how to let go and move on. THIS WILL BRING YOU TEARS!
Asuna Watase. The girl who chases lost voices. She is one weird, but special girl. How do I start this? This briliant girl, loved to listen to a self made radio. Almost everyday she went up the peak of mountain where she stored a lot of things in her secret hideout and spent her time there listening to a radio. Why? Sometimes, when she was lucky, she would hear a song. A song that was not like others. It was sad and longing to be heard. Like she herself.
Her meeting with mysterious boy, Shun, changed a lot of things, including her feelings. He saved her from a monster called Quetzacoatl. When this boy, gone for good, she met Shin that had a really identical face with Shun. Her feelings were mixed up, mistaking Shin as Shun. Her feelings took her into another world called Agartha, an underworld that was guarded by Quetzacoatl. No, I'm not going to tell you what Agartha is. =P Buy and watch. A long the way in Agartha, she learned the reason why she was there for the first time, what she really wanted, and what she learned there.
"What is a Blessing?" - Asuna Watase
Shun, The mysterious boy who sings lost voice. Aw, now you know ^^. Yes, he was freaking handsome and I love him too. He met Asuna when that girl was going to be eaten by Quetzacoatl. Shun was a gentle and he cared a lot for Asuna. When he knew that Asuna was the person who had listened to his last song, he was very glad. So he gave Asuna a blessing and a kiss on forehead. YES! He was also SWEET!! In spite of his, strong power, he had a weak body and there was a logic reason for that.
"Let's go to a journey to say goodbye." - Shun
Shin, The boy who chases lost voice. Well, from this angle and hair, you probably think, "His face isn't similiar to Shun at all!" my reply, "why don't you buy and watch it for yourself.". Now, I tell you a secret, Shin was Shun's twin little brother. He was very different from Shun. He was more... uh... bold, strong and... rude. Every times he saved Asuna, he would scold her for being so clumsy and stupid to be so easily get caught by monsters. He and his brother were from different world. There was a reason for that. Being the shadow of his brother disturbed him very much, but he didn't hate his brother. Ugh, he is so hard to explain. @_@ All I could explain that he shared the same feelings with Asuna, that's why they could understand each other very well and even cried together for Shun.
"I'm not my brother." - Shin
I can't say whether to dislike him or like him. Ryuji Morisaki, The man who seeks lost voices. He was complicated person and kind of melancholic. He lost his wife because a heavy disease she had. The feeling of impossibility to live without his wife, had made him do some research how to bring her back. He heard a story of Japan folklore that there was a world where dead people could be brought back. When he found it, he would do anything to fulfill his purpose even to Asuna that thought him as his father. He forced Asuna to be a sacrifice as the body of his wife's soul, but it wasn't enough. The god of underworld took his sight too. Well, I can't really dislike him... He was a poor guy. When he finally had his wife back, Shin wouldn't let it because the body of his dead wife was Asuna. He could not bear the feeling for losing his wife for second time (devastated?). He wanted to die, but Asuna stopped him. She taught him the lesson which she had learned from Shun, learn how to let go, to say farewell and live on.
"Please kill me." - Morisaki
"A song tells me to live on. That's a curse that every man shall bear." - Shin.
[Asuna hugs Morisaki] "But it's also a blessing." - Asuna
THE SONG!
Yes the ending song!!
It's called Hello Goodbye and Hello by Anri Kumaki. You will cry because I cry too!
